Report: Minister says Hungary unable to substitute Russian oil, gas
WASHINGTON, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Hungary is physically unable to substitute Russian oil and gas, CNN reported late on Tuesday citing Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
“Why we have asked for the exemption from the oil embargo was the fact that in case we had not asked for it, in case we had not got it, it would be physically impossible to supply the country with enough oil,” he said.
The minister added that it would take “five, six, seven years” and “a lot of money” to change the routes of fuel supplies in the region.
